Synopsis: If Rick Cozwell doesn't fall in love in 60 days, the world will end -- literally. God, living in NYC, is fed up with the rude behavior of the human race. So He decides it's time to shut down the planet Earth once and for all... Unless it can be proven that love actually exists. He deploys his assistant Serena to approach Rick and inform him of the ominous consequences if he doesn't fall in love with the right woman in two months time. Rick has a less-than-stellar history of commitment, and embarks on a series of romantic (mis)adventures as the clock ticks towards the doomsday deadline.

Director's bio: Joe Benedetto was born in Brooklyn. He wrote his first feature-length screenplay at age 16, before briefly attending Pace University. His screenplay CANDY FROM A BABY was then optioned by the producers of TWELVE MONKEYS -- though it was never produced. In the last four years, he has directed the short films THE LUCKIEST MAN ON EARTH (Silver Lei Award winner at Honolulu Int'l Film Fest), NOT ANOTHER HEIST MOVIE, HERE COMES THE BRIBE, and DUBIOUS DISTINCTION. In addition to the feature film A GUY NAMED RICK, his recently-completed scripts include the one-hour action/sci-fi pilot YESTERDAY, and feature-length scripts such as the OLD SCHOOL-esque comedy CANCEL RHONDA, the action comedy SUBVERSIVE, and the crime comedy FAT LIP.
