A Chemical Reaction
The award-winning documentary film, A Chemical Reaction, tells the inspirational story of one of the most successful community action initiatives in North American history - led by one-woman whose tenacity and persuasive arguments championed the effort to ban dangerous lawn & garden chemicals for an entire Canadian province.

A Chemical Reaction is a powerful tool for individuals and organizations interested in reducing and/or eliminating pesticides from the environment. Imagine, HomeDepot stopped putting the dangerous chemicals on their shelves in Quebec, Canada! If there - why not here?!

Join the conversation following the screening.

Discussion Facilitators:

Paul Tukey, one of the nations leading experts on organic lawn care and founder of SafeLawns.org. He is the author of The Organic Lawn Manual  and is prominently featured in A Chemical Reaction.

Dr. Diana Post, DVM is the Executive Director of The Rachel Carson Council based in Silver Spring which seeks to educate the public about the effects of pesticides threatening health, welfare and survival of living organisms and biological systems.

Maia Carroll, local artist, has personally experienced the devastating effects of pesticide poisoning.
