Gender Bender starring Charles Herrera & Doug Graham
Following their recent sold-out show at the Purple Room, Gender Bender returns to the place where it all started back in 2010. Charles Herrera and Doug Graham take us back at those Popular singing divas and Broadway show-stopping womens roles covering several decades. But, for a twist, they will keep the lyrics as written with some done more tongue in cheek, while others more touching and poignant through their solos and duets. Charles Herrrea, who performs locally in cabarets and musical reviews, is a classically trained, award-winning singer and actor as well as in demand voice over artist in commercials and films, including a number of animated musicals. Doug Graham, another local performer, honed his singing and dance skills in national touring companies of such shows as Bob Fosses Dancin, A Chorus Line, Cats, and Phantom Of The Opera. Doug is also a busy, award-winning choreographer, who will be staging the upcoming Tribute To The Follies next year at the McCallum Theatre. Gender Bender will be performed live accompanied by pianist Paul Cracchiolo.
