Gl'Innamorati: Songs of 17th C Venice
Taking manuscripts from the Biblioteca Marciana in Venice as their starting point, Soprano Jessica Eucker, Harpsichordist Oliver Doyle and the Band of MVSICA ANTICA bring to life some of the most beautiful and rarely heard songs and cantatas of the 17th Century.
Featuring arias from the operas of Francesco Cavalli and Antonio Cesti, and works by one of the first great female composers, Barbara Strozzi.
Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 7pm. Concert will run about an hour and a half with intermission.
Tickets £10 at the door, £8 concessions or in advance online.
