Innovations 2016

Innovations returns as Sol Inspirations' annual scholarship show, inviting students from around the metro to compete in a groundbreaking eco fashion runway show!

This year's event will feature designers from the Twin Cities fashion departments and schools, requiring them to think beyond fabric and traditional textiles to create garments that consider the impact fashion has on our people and the planet. Designs will be crafted using only eco friendly materials and creative upcycling techniques. The students work will be judged project runway styles well as voted on by you, with our People's Choice Award.

More than just hemp and bamboo, sustainable style can be modern and stylish, accessible to the creative needs of the wearer. This year's theme features a stylist program pairing MN creatives with local boutiques to showcase ways you can incorporate a more eco eye into the everyday wardrobe.

The show concludes with a spotlight on seasoned designers, sustainable focused shops, and ethical brands located right here in the Twin Cities. This portion connects the community with movers and shakers you can visit and support right here in Minnesota.
