ASCE COPRI Seattle Chapter Monthly Dinner Meeting - Oct 26, 2016
Topic: Seattle Multimodal Terminal at Colman Dock Project Description: Washington State Ferries is in the final design phase of a project that will rebuild Colman Dock, the state largest and busiest ferry terminal located on the Seattle waterfront. Funded by FTA, FHWA, and the Connecting Washington revenue package, the project addresses the seismic vulnerability of a key regional multimodal hub which serves more than 9 million passengers a year. Taking advantage of the recently passed Heavy-civil GC/CM state legislation, the Agency selected this alternate delivery method as the one best suited to the many complexities of the project, including the need to keep the facility in operation during construction, complex regulatory and technical environments, and a high degree of stakeholder involvement.
Speaker: Genevieve Rucki, PE
