Tuscany on Bainbridge
Please join us for this rare opportunity on Bainbridge Island for an evening filled with the flavors of Tuscany. Chef Melinda Lucas has prepared 5 courses influenced by classic Tuscan cuisine paired with 5 world class Tuscan wines from Poggio Bonelli. Winemaker Lorenzo Ficini will be on hand to share entertaining conversation, insightful knowledge, and a sharp wit.
1st Course: Vermentino, fresh/crisp white with delicate minerality from the Tuscan Riviera paired with Assorted Antipasti
2nd Course: Chianti Villa Chigi, bright red fruit with beautiful elegance paired with Frisée, Pear, Walnut and Gorgonzola Salad
3rd Course: Chianti Classico (90 points), rich structured layers of fruit with mineral & earthy notes paired with Butternut Squash Ravioli with Brown Butter and Sage
4th Course: Poggiassai (94 points), Super-Tuscan of Sangiovese & Cabernet Sauvignon has great power and gentile beauty paired with Bistecca alla Fiorentina Steak served on a bed of Arugula, Shaved Parmesan and Lemon
5th Course: Vin Santo, Classic Aged Tuscan Dessert Wine with a complex array of Sherry flavors & surprisingly dry paired with Dolci
