Dedekind Cut: $uccessor:
Saturday, October 29th, New York-based producer Fred Warmsley premieres a live rendition of $uccessor, his debut studio album under the Dedekind Cut moniker set for release on November 11, 2016 on NON Worldwide and Hospital Productions.

The performance turns ISSUEs 22 Boerum Place theater into a non-specific zone for a collective incubation, reappraising and positioning the Americana aesthetic for a sense of wellness and acceptance. Special guest, artist and DJ Juliana Huxtable also performs a unique DJ set exploring divergent sounds culminated from her own poetry and deconstructed club textures.

Warmsley has stated that all the parts that you can find ugly, uncomfortable and nasty about [;his]; work as the Dedekind Cut will surely become its signature. Warmsleys compositions thereafter are gestalt in their investigations of genres and his own capacity to be positioned within them. Just as $uccessor represents a mending of fragmented histories and disassociated identities from place, it also lays bare the (virtual/actual) violent realities of the marginalized at present. By placing yoga mats throughout the space, obscuring himself with fog while adorning the Western-iconic cowboy hat, Warmsley attempts to make peace with historical fracture through meditation and appropriation.

Organized by DeForrest Brown Jr.

Fred Welton Warmsley III, professionally known as Dedekind Cut (formerly Lee Bannon), is an American record producer, DJ and experimental musician whose work remains heavily in flux as he builds and records sound through a seemingly episodic and multifarious discography. Initially known for his work with the New York-based hip hop collective Pro Era, he has since been known for producing in multiple genres including breakcore, ambient and noise music, releasing eight extended plays and two long plays since 2013, including the critically acclaimed Alternate/Endings. His debut studio album under the name Dedekind Cut, entitled $uccessor, is set for release on November 11, 2016 on NON Worldwide and Hospital Productions. Dedekind Cut (pronounced Ded-da-kend Cut) is a new chapter that conjures a modern approach to noise, new age and ambient music with contributions from many artists, including DJ Shadow and Philip Glass.

Juliana Huxtable is an American artist, DJ, and model who works in photography, video, performance, poetry, and music. After gaining visibility in the New York club scene as a DJ and party organizer who mixed poetry and performance into her shows, Huxtable rose to fame after her work was featured in the 2015 New Museum Triennial, Surround Audience. Huxtable's work primarily focuses on archiving and abstracting representations of art history, the internet, and her experience as queer woman of color. In her photography, Huxtable uses her own body as the primary subject. She draws from a broad range of references, including the Nuwaubian movement. Huxtable is a co-founder of the night club SHOCK VALUE in Queens, New York and is a member of the Queens, New York-based collective House of Ladosha. Her most recent multi-media performance, titled There Are Certain Facts That Cannot Be Disputed, was co-commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art and Performa to be performed during the latter's biannual festival. She currently lives and works in New York, NY.
