Celebrate the holiday season with a classic night of beautiful music at the Bach Cantata Choir's annual Baroque Holiday Concert. Led by artistic director Ralph Nelson, the choir and orchestra will perform Winter from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, and parts 4-6 of J.S Bach's Christmas Oratorio. Assistant conductor Emma Riggle will direct Hodie Christus Natus Est, by 17th century German composer Heinrich Schütz. Local composer John Vergin will lead the choir in his arrangements of two medieval German carols, Lo, How a Rose and Festa Dies Agitur. Proceeds from this concert support the choir's mission to provide free public concerts throughout their 2016-17 season. More information can be found at www.bachcantatachoir.org.
