MATT SLOCUM TRIO

The San Luis Obispo County Jazz Federation is fortunate to bring to our area the highly acclaimed New York-based MATT SLOCUM TRIO as part of their West Coast tour. The concert will be on Saturday, Nov 5th at 7:30pm at Unity Concert Hall--1130 Orcutt Road/ SLO. This lyrical ensemble consists of Matt Slocum on drums, Dayna Stephens, sax and Steve Cotter, guitar. Critics have hailed Matt Slocum as "one of the great young drummers of our day", and have cited his lyricism, restraint and insistence on a clearly-defined ensemble sound.
