Green America Table Captain Event
Join us at our offices next Tuesday, August 28th for a free dinner to learn more about being a table captain for our September 27th luncheon. You'll meet many of the other great table captains, get an exclusive briefing on the exciting programs that will be highlighted at "Serving up Solutions, and a step-by-step guide on how to be a table captain.
Here's more on the September luncheon:
"Serving up Solutions" is our popular annual awareness-raising and fund-raising event, set for September 27th at the Washington Post Conference Center on 15th & L Streets, NW.
It's a one-hour (we promise!), FREE lunch (local, organic, delicious) where guests will be asked to consider making a contribution, but there is no obligation or minimum gift (and of course, no maximum either ;) We are looking to expand our network of DC area-based supporters with this event, but as much as anything, we want people to come and find out about the great work Green America is doing to build the green economy, and a just and sustainable future. Our table captains invite their friends who might be interested in Green America's work. It's as simple as that. You don't have to do any fundraising in this role. This is NOT like the black tie events where you have to twist people's arms to pay for an expensive seat at the table. You simply invite people to a free lunch and to network with a great group of people interested in growing a green economy. It is our job to inspire all of our guests -- give them the vision of how we're making a big difference in the world, and the behind-the-scenes view of how we do it while enjoying the delicious food and networking with all of the caring, like-minded folks who will be there. ----------------------------------------------------------- **As a table captain, your job would just be to invite folks to attend our free lunch. We'll provide you with support in that role (such as sample emails, save-the-date postcards, RSVP links and follow ups).
As a table captain, not only will you help introduce lots of new folks to Green America's work -- you'll also enjoy great networking and become one of our valued advisors! Not sure? Come to our table captain dinner next Tuesday, enjoy the food and networking, and we can answer your questions.
Please let us know if you have any questions and might like to be one of our table captains! Richard Kim-Solloway, our Development Director, will help make it easy for you. Please contact him if you'd like to become a table captain rkimsolloway@greenamerica.org or (202)-872-5349.
