Cyber - Security (IMA Mt. Rainier Chapter - November Presentation)
The IMA is pleased to present Joe Nathans as our speaker on Novvember 16. Joe Nathans, a NextLevel Technology Partner, currently leads NextLevels cyber-security practice providing cybersecurity assessments, implementation management, and resilience planning services. Joe brings over 25 years of executive management experience, ranging from CIO for Siemens Medical and Intermec Technologies to Founder of the National Identify Protection Bureau and COO/CTO of software development companies providing SaaS solutions to Fortune 100 organizations. He has an MBA from Carnegie-Mellon University, a CPA (Inactive, Pennsylvania), and is a frequent speaker on cybersecurity and cloud technology.
The internet is full of powerful hacking tools and bad guys are using them. In this session we will outline the key steps organizations need to take to understand: I. The Problem: Hacker Economy, Legal and Regulatory Environment, Business Impact II.Solutions: Cybersecurity Strategies, Solution Strengths & Weaknesses III.Required Actions: Risk Analysis, Priorities, Roadmap and Action Plan The presentation is focused on Executive Management, providing some of the tools required to talk about the problem, develop cybersecurity strategies, identify actions, and set business priorities.
Parking at LaQuinta is free and the location is easily accessible off I-5 in Tacoma (exit 135 from either direction). This is open to everyone, IMA membership is not required, and new faces are always welcome.
