VIRGIN QUEENS: Straight Guys Compete to be the Girl of Your Dreams
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 1st at the ALLWAYS THEATRE. 8pm.
Five new adventurous straight guys will give their all to remake themselves, for one night, into "the girls of your dreams," in three elimination rounds of lipsynch glory.
(Yes really, straight guys. Fiancees, kids, football obsessions, violent video games; the works. Let's call them, um, 'artistic.')

THIS IS NOT COMEDY DRAG. (Though much of it will be funny.) This is not Uncle Harry grabbing your aunt's necklace and wig to sashay around clumsily on Halloween. These five stalwarts have promised to put their all into selling their drag personae, in these three rounds of competition...
ONE: The party-down, get-em-dancin' round!
TWO: The down-low hot-mess round!
THREE: The high-diva big-ballad round!
...With the guys being eliminated one by one until New Orleans' new Virgin Queen is ultimately crowned!
At least the eliminated get to relax for the rest of the show.

Obviously het guys can't do it alone. Each Virgin Queen competitor has been assigned one of New Orleans most gorgeous queens as his drag mama: His coach, his mentor, his inspiration, his makeup instructor:

these glorious lilies will also perform, to show the youngsters how it's done! Though, really, the youngsters will probably be too busy changing their dresses and taking shots to watch their mamas work it.
