Euphonia in Concert
Euphonia artfully and energetically blends old-time and modern Americana songs and tunes, then sprinkles in unexpected European flavors, like a dreamy French musette or a stirring Finnish dance tune. This inventive quartet features the driving guitar and elegant vocals of longtime Bay Area favorite Sylvia Herold, spirited and nimble mandolin from Paul Kotapish, haunting accordion and exuberant piano from Charlie Hancock, and a jazz-inflected pulse from bassist Chuck Ervin.
