"AWAKENINGS & BEGINNINGS Dance Festival" - 2017 is now one entire week long of fun master classes, community building, dancer development, performance excitement, art, education, music and of course dance. JOIN us for our Opening Night Gala that presents a very exciting evening of Dance Art & Multi-Media Dance Performances in this portion of our beloved festival. For the first time we are offering Honorariums to the top two Emerging Artists in this program. They will then have an opportunity to present their work on the Main Stage at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre on January 21 for our Closing Night. This festival sells-out every year thanks to supporters like you; be sure to get your tickets on line now. Do not wait, we'd hate to turn you away.
DESCRIPTION: This 7:00 pm presentation showcases professional Emerging Artists, Seasoned & Mid Career Choreographers and Dance Companies in the Los Angeles region. Support them as they present their newest and greatest works from their repertoire to a renown judging panel of professional community artists. The two top scoring pieces (one from each level) will be awarded with an honorarium, an award and an opportunity to present their work on the Main Stage at the Barnsdall Theatre for our Closing Night's Main Event

Two winners from our Emerging Artists Program will be presented this night as well. PARKING: Ample parking in front of Diavolo and anywhere in the Brewery Arts parking lot and on the street. Please do read the signage as some store-front and shop owners do not allow for parking in front of their space even after hours. You will be towed at the vehicle owner's expense. Please read the signs carefully. Thank you.
WILL CALL: Once you arrive at Diavolo, please find the Will Call Desk outside to the left of the stairwell. Once you've checked in you may proceed inside and claim your seat.
BUYING AT THE DOOR: If you're buying tickets at the door, please go to the Desk to the right of the stairwell. CASH ONLY. Be aware, we may already be sold-out. Please purchase your tickets now.
WAIT LIST: Should this event sell-out, please do come and place your name on our wait list. We will do our best to seat you. The wait list will be at the Wait List Desk outside to the right of the stairwell.
SEATING: First come first served general seating-not reserved. We advise that you arrive early. House opens at 6:30 pm.
