This exciting one-day, 3 1/2 hour workshop will combine lecture and practice to help you get the most from your digital camera.
Start with basic camera operation ranging from: what are all these darn buttons to flash usage to how to get correct exposures.
Then your professional photographer-instructor will teach you great techiniques for composing great photographs with people. Next you will partner up with a classmate to take outdoor photographs of each other, and then - here is a unique opportunity - your instructor will download your photos into his studio equipment so that he and the class can review and discuss them together.
Following this confidence-boosting session, your camera will make sense and you'll see long-term improvement in your photos!
Tom Meinhold is a professional photographer. He was born and raised in San Luis Obispo and is a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. He started Tom Meinhold Photography in 1990 where his love of photography is evident in everything from architectural and product photography to portraits, seniors, weddings, and, most recently, photographing six different horseback trail rides a year.
Tom's commercial clients include Madonna Inn, Castoro Vineyards, Friends of Hearst Castle and Verdin Marketing Ink, just to name a few. He has created portraits of many local families, as well as some famous people such as former President George W. Bush, Alex Trebek, and one of William Randolph Hearst's great-granddaughters.
