Among Conversation and Dance, Fall 2012
Piel Morena Contemporary Dance (PMCD) invites you to an intimate evening of exploratory movement and provocative conversation. The evening will offer a glimpse into PMCD's new and exciting collaborative choreography that will premiere in its totality in Spring 2013. PMCD is especially honored to showcase the choreography of Victoria Vargas for the first time. Before each work is performed Dr. Natalie Kalich will introduce each choreograpy in order to contextualize them for the audience. Following the performance, Dr. Kalich will lead an engaging discussion between the performers and the audience to explore the creative process behind these works and interpret the choreography in a larger cultural context, thereby bridging the gap between these wonderful artists and their audience.
