CHOP SHOP: Bodies of Work, a contemporary dance festival, celebrates its 10th anniversary with extraordinary dance from Seattle and beyond, alongside the CHOP SHOP Master Class Series and the free Experience Dance Program. Curated as a retrospective, the 2017 edition invites audience favorite local, national, and international artists from the festival's history to again share their thought-provoking work on the Meydenbauer stage.

Education The CHOP SHOP Master Class Series fills the daytime hours of the festival with dance classes led by festival artists. Open to intermediate and advanced level dancers, these engaging master classes offer a unique opportunity to experience a wide array of movement styles and practices in classes held on stage at The Theatre at Meydenbauer. Festival scholarships providing access to the full Master Class Series and a complimentary ticket to one 2017 performance are available to young dancers ages 12 - 25. Scholarship applications are accepted through Saturday, January 28, 2017, with full application instructions available at chopshopdance.org/scholarships.
CHOP SHOP: Bodies of Work is proud to partner with The City of Bellevue Parks and Community Services Department to offer the FREE Experience Dance Program! These unique classes serve as companion events to the CHOP SHOP Contemporary Dance Festival through education and experience. In addition to offering direct experience of modern and contemporary dance, all Experience Dance Program participants receive a reduced price ticket to the 2017 festival performance of their choice!
