Join the Everett Philharmonic Orchestra for the opening concert & reception for it's third concert season on October 6, 2012, from 5:30-9:00 PM at the Everett Performing Arts Center.
A welcome reception with spirits & hors d'oeuvres and a chance to mingle with other music lovers will begin at 5:30 pm, followed by Dr. Cobbs' Stage-side Chat at 6:15 and the opening concert at 7:00 pm.
The opening work (selected by Spring Fling raffle winner Lou Davis) will be De Falla's "Jota from the 3-cornered Hat". Next is Chabrier's Espana Rhapsody, followed by the exciting Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra by Rodrigo featuring the well known Michael Partington on guitar. The final work will be Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol. This is a block buster piece which features a number of the instruments of the orchestra and will literally have you dancing in your seats!
Join us for "A Night in Madrid": A fabulous concert and a lovely chance to meet some of the musicians and your fellow concert goers before the show.
