Resurrectionist Ben Crouch needed to write his own songs for a while. Fellow Resurrectionist Ben Dicke (First Worst Thirst, Miss Fairchild, The Bold Type) still likes him well enough to lend his considerable talent. Throw in Lincoln Smith (OTP) and Scot Fitzsimmons (Sparklehorse, Firebird Ensemble) and you got yerself a cherry little rock'n'roll outfit rolling off the line in May, 2012. Let's call it rock noir and see where it goes.
Western Powers is a brand new band featuring the sound of indie folk mixed with bluegrass and blues.
Brian Carpenter is a singer, songwriter, composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, filmmaker, radio producer, engineer, and actor. He is the founder of Beat Circus, a Boston-based genre-bending ensemble founded in 2002 which spins cabaret, gospel, progressive rock, and Appalachian string music into its own blend of dark, funereal Americana.
