Orquesta Victoria at the National Museum of Dance
Join us for a night of tango orchestra with Orquesta Victoria at the National Museum of Dance! Orquesta Victoria, a 14-piece orchestral group will be performing selections from their new cd "El Mundo is the World."
Formed in 2010, Orquesta Victorias rich sound is influenced by classical music and jazz; its repertoire provides a new vision to 20th century tango. The group has performed at the 2014 Tango World Cup as well as the most important stages, theaters, and tango festivals in Buenos Aires, including the Casa Rosada (the equivalent of the White House) where they performed for heads of state. Orquesta Victoria is known for its regular weekly show at Café Vinilo, in Buenos Airess trendy Palermo neighborhood, and tours around Argentina, throughout South America, and recently in Germany, Austria, and Russia.
This performance will take place on Friday, November 4th at 7:30 pm. Doors will open to the public at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $20 per person. Call the Museum at 518-584-2225 x3001 or visit www.dancemuseum.org to purchase tickets!
