Alice and Lewis are engaged!
Join the celebration as their parents meet for the first time, Alice's sister Jen returns from Korea for the occasion, and a bundle of buried secrets from throughout the adoption community climb up the rabbit hole and demand to be revealed. You don't have to come in costume but don't be surprised by the anxious waitress White Rabbit, a cryptic chef Caterpillar, and a wedding band fronted by the imperious Queen of Hearts.
Wonderlust has been developing IN MY HEART: THE ADOPTION PLAY PROJECT with input from more than 200 people in the adoption community since 2014 through story circles, workshops, and public staged readings.
The show reflects a full spectrum of community perspectives ranging from adoptees to social workers, adoptive parents to birth parents, foster families and beyond. Contributors span the ages of 14 to 80, and include voices from the African American, Native American, and Korean American communities.
As guests at this unique engagement party, audiences will be immersed in an epic journey told through story, song, dance and a chorus of adoption community members, sharing their life stories, in their own words.

Question: |
I am having chemo, and my feet have neurapathy. Can i sit in your reserved seating and maybe elevate my feet a bit? |
Answer: |
We'll have to put some thought into it, but we'll be able to find a way to assist! Just let the box office manager know who you are up on arrival. If you can let us know what show you're attending, that would be helpful, too. Feel free to email our Box Office Manager, Kaira, at kaira@wlproductions.org |
