11th Annual All Angels Jazz Festival
Our eleventh annual All Angels Jazz Festival will be February 3 through 5, 2017. For the 2017 festival we are featuring Hawaii's best jazz artists!
Friday night's concert features Abe Lagrimas, Jr. on jazz ukulele and Hot Club of Hulaville offering Island Gypsy Jazz. Concert time is 7 pm.
Saturday night we welcome Bruce Hamada, Honolulu vocalist and bass player, joined by Matt Lemmler on piano and Abe Lagrimas, Jr. on drums, along with Maggie Herron, Big Island based jazz vocalist and Na Hoku Hanohano winner. Concert time is 7 pm.
The Sunday Jazz Masses at 8:30 am and 11 am will pay tribute to the great Duke Ellington, with Matt Lemmler on piano, Dean Taba, bass, Abe Lagrimas, Jr., drums, and the All Angels Festival choir, soloists, and guest musicians. The Jazz Masses are open to the public and free. (There will be an offering; please be generous!) Our Jazz Masses typically attract standing room only crowds.
Lihue is located on the Hawaiian island of Kauai which is a short airplane ride from Honolulu, the commercial and transportation hub of the state. There are frequent inter-island flights from Honolulu. In addition, Lihue has non-stop service from a number of mainland cities on Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, and seasonally on WestJet.
