Night Cheese Volume 5: A Lesson in Terroir
Technically defined as the sharing of weather conditions, soil, and all the elements necessary to create the personality of an agrarian product, terroir is the tangible and sensual aspect of place. We are extremely lucky to be nourished by such a rich landscape as Northern California, so let's celebrate that bounty!
Join us on Thursday, September 13th for Night Cheese 5, A Lesson in Terroir. Special guests Ken Blair of Preston Farm and Winery and Seana Doughty of Bleating Heart Cheese will lead us through a tasting of Northern California juice and curds. We will learn about the concept of terroir as we glean how it contributes to a successful and more importantly a delicious pairing. Preston wines from the Dry Creek area will be tasted alongside cheeses from neighboring dairies, including those from Bleating Heart in Sebastopol.
Grab your tickets before time runs out!
