Planting A Seed: Fall Fundraiser Kick Off
For more than four decades, Coggeshall Farm Museum has preserved a vital piece of Rhode Island's history and brought it to life. 2016 was another record breaking year, only made possible through the support of our generous sponsors, donors, and members.
On October 26, 2016 join us to celebrate our recent accomplishments and help "plant a seed" to support our efforts as we look forward to the year ahead. We will air "The Missing Chapter" by Taunton filmmaker Kenny Loubeau, which was featured in the RI International Film Festival this fall and unveil the winners of our 2016 Arts on the Farm contest.
We have a lot to celebrate. The 43rd annual Harvest Fair and the RI Fiber Festival and Craft Fair broke attendance records, we launched new in-school programming bringing our farm to the classroom, we collaborated with other great Rhode Island institutions, and brought in Spanish goats and Jacob sheep to enhance our interpretation.
2016 has also presented Coggeshall Farm with new challenges. This year New England experienced one of the worst droughts in recorded history. As a result, our hay fields did not produce enough feed for the winter and hay prices have gone up. We are also faced with the large task of repairing and replacing much of our site's infrastructure, including the decaying roof of our hay barn. Your gift will ensure that our animals are fed and our site's buildings are preserved for the next generation.
Proceeds from the event support Coggeshall Farm Museum. Each ticket includes admission and complimentary beer, wine, and hors d'oeuvres. Enjoy a night out, and play a direct role in keeping our 1790s salt-marsh tenant farm alive for years to come.

Our Mission
The Mission of the Coggeshall Farm Museum is to preserve this 1790s Rhode Island salt-marsh farm. We serve the local community and beyond as a living museum and vital educational resource through demonstration of daily farm activity and honest interpretation that reflects its historical, multicultural influence.
