The Skill Crane Kid (Creative City Project 2016)
The Kid Is Back.
For the first time in over four years, award-winning D.C.-based performance artist Brian Feldman will return to Orlando inside one of his signature projects as part of Creative City Project 2016.
"The Skill Crane Kid" is a re-creation of the Sheboygan skill crane incident*, in the form of an interactive performance installation, wherein Brian Feldman remains inside of a playable skill crane machine.
Over the span of six hours, the public is invited to try and win Brian, or other great prizes, for 50 cents per play. Bring your date! Bring your kids! Bring your quarters!
Previous seen at Stardust Video & Coffee, TheDailyCity.com Mobile Art Show #18, SAK Comedy Lab and on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
"I was impressed with just how many families were there, with kids dropping in money by the bucketful to try and win Brian. Well, hats off to Brian, who obviously has a direct line in to what kids like! Well done, sir!" (Bess Auer, CentralFloridaTop5.com)

*In 2004, a then 7-year-old boy walked away from his father while he was using a pay phone at a Piggly Wiggly supermarket and proceeded to climb inside of a skill crane machine through its prize slot. When asked later why he did it, on national morning TV talks shows (http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=128103), his response was that he "just, like, wanted to go in there."
