South Shore Theatre Experience & The Parlor of Mystery present Halloween Magic
The Place Where ANYTHING Can Happen
AN UNREAL EVENING OF SURREAL AND IMPOSSIBLE ACTS RETURNS TO CHILL THE PARLOR OF MYSTERY ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30TH at 7pm
Continuing its unique, once-a-year tradition, the October Parlor of Mystery will darken the lights and present a night of unexplainable, bone-chilling and mysterious acts, unearthing the darker sides of life, death and the spirits who cross between them. Join your guides Joe Silkie, Tony Gangi, Pat Darienzo, and Thaddeus to a place where anything might, can and WILL happen. Joe Silkie has been a driving force in magic for many years, and is considered by many to be both an elegant performer of the classics, and the inventive creator behind numerous powerful effects used by many successful magicians. Joes artistic skills, however tend to reflect best in his obscure and uncanny presentations at the Halloween shows that always leave the audience both spooked and amazed. A co-founder of the Parlor of Mystery, Joe promises that this years show will raise more than just goosebumps. Tony Gangi, author of Carny Sideshows: Weird Wonders of the Midway (Kensington/Citadel 2010), returns to his Long Island roots with this years show, and will lead the audience back to a simpler time of sideshow freaks and geeks, sword swallowers, crooked carnies, and impossible physical acts that will leave you squirming in your seats. Tonys debut performance may be one of the most disturbing & uncomfortable acts ever witnessed and something that, once seen, cannot be unseen. Pat Darienzo, although better known for comedy, returns for his third straight Halloween show at the Parlor to once again uncover his dark side. As usual, Pat will attempt to reach out to spirits beyond the grave, and invite them into our world, while trying to avoid being terrifyingly pulled into theirs. Could this be the year he crosses over? Pat is currently considering starting his own religion. Thaddeus has been involved in magic and theatre for over 30 years. His "Storytime Magic" and "The Magic of Thaddeus" has been featured in LI Parenting and Good Times magazines and he builds many of the illusions you see in his shows. He has performing to sell-out crowds for the last few years at the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center with his family oriented original magic shows. With his wife Deborah, they started and run South Shore Theatre Experience.
