Laugh. Rock. Repeat, Gus' legendary comedy and music showcase, returns Friday, October 19, for one, final performance as part of the 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival. It's loud music followed by louder laughs followed by even louder music--well, you get the idea.
Not that it won't be a good show, as four-hour plus extravaganzas go. After all, it's got Adam Quesnell. He's officially the Twin Cities' Funniest Person with a Day Job, and by default North Dakota's funniest person with a pulse, so we're totally cool with him headlining the comedy portion. We just hope this last-in-a-lifetime event doesn't overshadow our whole week-long clambake.
One Man Dan kicks things off at 8:00, followed by a Who's Who (or at least a Who's Going to Be) of rising Minnesota comics, and the comedy-rap duo of Valley Meadows (Gary Schishynszenski [Chris Knutson]) and MC Tom Johnson [Zach Coulter]).
Then Chicago's Egon's UNICAT takes over the stage and plays serious rock'n'roll until everyone leaves or the cops come.
And then Laugh. Rock. Repeat will be over. Forever. So get your tickets now, because this show is guaranteed to sell out.
