In this two-part preserving series, Shakirah Simley (founder of Slow Jams and Bi-Rite's Community Coordinator) will teach participants practical applications for capturing fruits in flux. As any preserver can attest, September's the time to can fruit so that the flavors' developed in time for holiday giving. When it comes to homemade gifts, it's definitely not too early to start your holiday making!
Series participants will receive 8 hours of hands-on canning instruction, recipes, full jars of in-class batches and a boost of canning confidence. There are limited spaces for individual course participants, who will receive 4 hours of instruction, recipes, and full jars of that week's in-class concoctions.
