Peter, who's been writing songs and playing in bands for longer than he can remember, invited his niece, Larkin over to his studio to bring her steel drum and have a fun jam...and fun it was...so much so that they had to do it again but this time he placed a vocal mic in front of her pretty face...The result was no less than...well as Peter puts it, "BOINGOING WHAT?!?! YIEE YIEE YIEE!!!...not too bad"...Well at that point all they needed was another musician who would be creative, melodic, fill up all the empty spaces and be the perfect fun loving personality that would blend and befriend...Hmmm...Only one person they could think of...Already a close friend of Peter's, Cooke Harvey who arrived with his upright bass and vocal additions, as well as his ability as a musical director, and completed the new and unique sound of THE SPLASHING PEARLS who play both covers and originals with a fresh new spin on the cover tunes and original songs that'll Hook you, Book you, Baby Yeah They Took You!!!
Magnifus, from Norristown PA, describes themselves as "Nouveau Anachronistic".. or "Awkwardness for cool kids". Band leader and lead singer Christopher Kayfield brings a haunting aspect to amazing songwriting.
