Rob Bowers in "88 Keys: Songs 1968 - 2012""
ONE NIGHT ONLY!!!! ROB BOWERS, Composer-Lyricist-Librettist, Director and Musical Director brings to the Cavern Club Theater an evening of Selections from many of the Musicals he has written over the past FORTY (!!!) YEARS as well as "Non-Theatre" songs he's created more recently. All manner of styles (from Rag to Ballads, Country to Crooner, Comic to Tragic) will be heard as Rob performs from those 88 Keys, aided by some wonderful singing-actors: Amy Bowers, Amanda Abel, Lisa Dyson, Larry Davis, Diane Pancel, Violinist Eden Livingood, and other surprise guests! Los Angeles audiences may have forgotten some of the productions -- ALL OF US, PEER (based on Ibsen's PEER GYNT), BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Pre-Disney, thank you very much), THUMBELINA, BITE ME!, SIDE-SHOW RAG, THE PIED PIPER, WICKED WOMEN FROM SPACE, THE MUSIC BOX, DREAMSCAPE -- but many of the performers who were in those shows have been asking for an evening like this. So here it is.
