Hometown Hootenanny: Legends of Nashville
Traditional country, folk and bluegrass music will fill the stage as the Hometown Hootenanny salutes Legends of Nashville on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at the Historic Everett Theatre.
The Hometown Band pays tribute to country music greats like George Jones, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Hank Williams Sr., performing "Ring of Fire," "Hey Good Lookin'," "He Stopped Loving Her Today," "Working Man Blues" and several other classic country hits.
Country music sweetheart and "Future Opry Member" Rachel Mae lights up the stage with her unique sound that harkens back to the golden days of Nashville, and local country/bluegrass legend Tammy Christensen performs songs made famous by Tammy Wynette and Patty Loveless.
Blueberry Hill, a family bluegrass band from Stanwood, has put together a set list that celebrates the traditions of early acoustic music, and Poncho Lopez pays tribute to Johnny Cash.
The Hometown Hootenanny is a family-friendly event, presenting live music and a variety of entertainers in a classic venue in downtown Everett.
