August Chapter Meeting - Archisociourbanism
In 2010, Mr. Mortensen became Cleveland's first Enterprise Rose Architectural Fellow. With Master Degrees in Architecture, Urban Design, and Social Work, his professional focus resolves the creation of equitable and just communities that embrace economic, environmental, and social sustainability. The Rose Fellowship brought Mr. Mortensen to Neighborhood Progress, Inc. where he serves as a planning and design liaison to more than a dozen community organizations in an effort to advance their respective development agendas. These range from the creation of affordable housing and civic facilities, to strategic planning, foreclosure prevention, and sustainable development policy. He has served on the National Boards of the AIA and National Architecture Accrediting Board and will Chair the twelth session of the AIA National Associates Committee in 2012.
