Product Life Cycle Management From Concept to Production
Product Life Cycle Management From Concept to Production Companies are adopting PLM systems to efficiently manage the product development cycle from concept to production. Time and Action Calendars, Style Spec Packs, Costing, Samples, Approvals, are all developed in this system, and shared in real time with suppliers and key parties in the process. Learn how PLM can make the difference in managing your information, communication and time from the founders of Chameleon PLM - Chris and Souheil Karam. If you are a designer, merchandiser or in production this will be a valuable workshop on how you handle your designs and product data in your daily work schedule. Here is the Puget Sound Business Journal article on Chameleon PLM- http://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/blog/techflash/2010/11/startup-of-the-week-chameleon-plm.html?page=all Chris Karam has more than 25 years' experience as a Divisional VP and Director in design, product development and sourcing of apparel, bags and hardgoods for national and international brands such as Eddie Bauer, PMI, Land's End, LL Bean and REI , with production in USA, Mexico and all parts of Asia. With her husband Souheil, she is co-founder of Chameleon PLM, a SAAS product lifecycle management tool managing the development and production lifecycle of consumer products. Souheil Karam worked with PTC, which is one of the largest PLM software companies that sells solutions for large corporations from Aerospace to Apparel. At his wife's urging he set out to develop a program that was user friendly.all with Chris' input from a design and production aspectthat could be run on the Cloud and easily customized to your business. Rather than taking 12-18 months to implement that is the norm for the larger more complex systems, Chameleon PLM can be up and running in a matter of weeks. His goal with Chameleon PLM was to create a cost effective system that required no server set up or heavy IT investment, and was flexible and intuitive.especially for the creative right-brain people!
