An Evening with Tony La Russa
Friday, September 28, 7:00 pm (Doors open at 6 pm) Library Headquarters, Main Reading Room
Co-sponsored by the St. Louis Cardinals and Left Bank Books
Tony La Russa gives the inside story behind his remarkable 50 year career in baseball and often scrutinized approach to managing, the Cardinals' astonishing 2011 World Series victory, and his decision to retire.
The event will be an onstage interview followed by questions from the audience. Mr. La Russa will then sign copies of "One Last Strike" Additional books will be available for purchase from Left Bank Books. (Mr. La Russa will sign 3 books per person - "One Last Strike" only. Memorabilia will NOT be signed.)
Ticket packages are $35 (admits one and includes one copy of "One Last Strike" or $50 (admits two and includes one copy of "One Last Strike"). Ticket packages can be purchased through www.slcl.org or at Library Headquarters. (No refunds.)
The proceeds from this event will benefit the Library Foundation's Gift of Reading preschool literacy program.
