Organic Soil and Nutrient Management
Join the Small Acreage Program for a free workshop that will provide tips, suggestions, and ideas on how to manage soil and organic nutrients to improve pastures and crops. Soil expert Heather Havens from Concentrates Inc. will provide information on indentifying soil types, interpreting soil test results, building organic matter content, adding organic amendments, and creating a soil management plan. Participants are encouraged to bring their results from a recent soil test for recommendations and class activities.
The Small Acreage Program, co-sponsored by Washington State University Clark County Extension and Clark County Environmental Services Clean Water Program, will provide information, handouts, and answer landowners' questions at the workshop.
