The former Daily Show correspondent reports from the Los Angeles penal system in a work that careens wildly between her (sometimes) paying work in Hollywood and her ongoing volunteer gig in the L.A. County Jail. The incarcerated women for whom she advocates, and the mixed motives that have brought Weedman to their door, are portrayed with humor, energy and biting self-indictment.
