Imaginese Productions presents CHIFFONIER'S FASHION SHOW at BAR LUBITSCH in West Hollywood
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA, SUNDAY, AUGUST 19th, 2012 the creative artists behind the Los Angeles-based Non-profit Benefit Cooperation, Imaginese Productions -- are producing the frilly, steam punk, fashion event for CHIFFONIER-- Echo Park's premier vintage clothing boutique-- showcasing fashions and accessories from the Victorian era through the 1980s.
The $5 cover at Bar Lubitsch gains entrance into a quaint and fashionable world of classic European design, fashion, music, film, dance and stilt performance.
Selected clothing will be available for purchase to the public.
The event, Sunday, 8-10pm (August 19th) boasts a dense line up :: Chiffonier clothing sales, dress auctions, coveted raffles, a Vintage Fashion Show, and an array of Imaginese short films. The event, in part, will raise money for educational funds, with 20% of the profits going to charity, offering higher learning funds for students, who otherwise could not attend.
The venue, Lubitsch, is an Art Deco, Eastern European style bar that looks and feels as if it has been perfectly preserved for 100 years. The charming front patio with brick floor, marble cafe tables and fragrant Jasmine vines will hold the clothing items offered for purchase by Chiffonier. With men and women's fashions available in a variety of sizes and styles, guests are likely to find that unique item that sets their hearts ablaze.
The middle room with Moroccan tiled floor, vintage pressed tin ceiling, and Constructivist art will hosts the raffle table, auction information, and Stilt Performances along the 20 foot long bar-- which hosts LA's largest selection of Vodka.
The back, speakeasy style room with vintage 1920's bar, and red upholstered walls surround the Peruvian Walnut dance floor -- hosts the main attraction; including short film screenings from Multi-Media Production Cooperative -- Imaginese. The themes of the shorts range from quirky love stories, to alluring art house films and documentaries, paving the way for an avant-garde fashion show using elements of dance and theatre. DJ sets and live music follow, using the top of the line sound system of which Bar Lubitsch has hosted performances by high profile artists such as Jackson Browne and Sarah Silverman.
