"Dolores: Out From The Void"
Carolina "CoiCoi" Duncan is a Colombian born actor and comedian. Her work combines rich storytelling with mime and sound. Mime with sound? Carolina's latest work "Dolores: Out From The Void" weaves together an entire world out of invisible objects, charismatic characters and enchanting rhythms. Carolina is proud to be an Artist in Residence at Berkeley's Subterranean Art House. She is a graduate of the SF Clown Conservatory, and of The Flying Actor Studio's Physical Theatre Conservatory. Carolina has performed with Cirkus Pandemonium, Dreamtime Circus, Zoppe Circus, ClownSnotBombs, and can be seen most months at the Clown Cabaret and Literary Clown Foolery events in San Francisco.
"Dolores: Out From The Void" is the 2nd one-woman-show by Carolina Duncan. Her first, "Thread," played to enthusiastic houses at San Francisco venues The Garage and Flying Actor Studio in 2010. "Dolores" shares fantasy worlds and one Grandmother's journey through love, loss and outer space.
"Dolores" is Directed by Nikolas Strubbe, with Sound Design by Carlos M. Kampff. It is being prepared for the 2013 International Mime Festival in Istanbul, and makes its' world premiere at the Subterranean Art House in August 2012.
