The Great Council of the Grandmothers first appeared to Sharon as she walked her dogs on the clifftops of Laguna Beach in western California. Since then they have inspired numerous groups and gatherings around the world as well as Sharon's books describing their teachings. Their mission is to return balance and wholeness to a world that has largely been overwhelmed by the yang-style qualities of activity, logic and individualism.
The message they bring is a simple one: We can help to restore balance in our lives, our families and our communities by calling on the Grandmothers and the wisdom that they bring. They bring us their Empowerment into the Divine Feminine to help us embody the powerful Yin qualities of holding and acceptance, and they share many beautiful tales and meditations to inspire and guide our steps. Through working with the Net of Light we are encouraged to help hold the Earth steady in these times of change.
Please join us for this wonderful 2-day event to deepen our bonds with the Net of Light and tune into its resonance from the beautiful Pennine hills at the heart of Britain. This is only the second time that Sharon is hosting a Gathering in the UK and we are so fortunate that she is coming to inspire us. We will spend the weekend working in ceremony and with the Ancestors, enjoying sacred movement, sound and meditation. We will be resonating with the Net of Light to help amplify its healing effects throughout the world.
There are no restrictions on who may or may not attend - young and old, male and female - all are welcome, though we suggest a minimum age of 16 and any children are your responsibility. We do ask that during the Gathering you abstain from alcohol or other intoxicants since considerable energy is generated in our coming together and it doesn't mix well!
