Pianist Hsia-Jung Chang plays Beethoven Op. 106 and Brahms Op. 35
Classical pianist Hsia-Jung Chang will be performing a solo recital at 7 PM on Sunday October 16, 2016, at the Holy Names Music Center, 3910 W Custer Dr., Spokane, WA. The program will feature Beethovens Sonata in B-flat Op. 106 "Hammerklavier", and the complete Brahms-Paganini Variations Op. 35, Books 1 & 2 and Intermezzi Op. 118 Nos 1 & 2. Seating is limited. Currently based in New York City, Hsia-Jung Chang has performed as soloist around the world, including Scandinavia, China, India, Taiwan, and with the Spokane Symphony here in Spokane, where she grew up. Hsia-Jung was recently invited by the Frederick Collection of Historical Pianos in MA to perform the enigmatic Beethoven "Hammerklavier" Sonata on their 1830 Tröndlin piano from Leipzig.
Chang runs the indie record label Mandala Studio with her mother, famous Taiwanese yodeler Ho Lan, and her sister, Grammy-nominated recording engineer Hsi-Ling Chang.
