North River Commission 50th Anniversary Celebration
The North River Commission is celebrating 50 years of community development. Founded in 1962 by concerned residents and neighborhood institutions NRC unites over 100 civic associations, businesses, schools, institutions and places of worship on the northwest side of Chicago to improve the quality of life for all constituents in our community by creating affordable housing, quality education, arts & cultural endeavors, open spaces, and stable neighborhood businesses.
Please join us for our 50th Anniversary Celebration. We've planned an evening of cocktails, hor d'oeuvres, music, a live auction, raffle and a video presentation showcasing our work over the past 50 years. Our host restaurant, Bread and Wine, one of our community's hottest new restaurants specializing in farm to table cuisine, is preparing a special tasting menu featuring a variety of homemade cheeses, meats, pates, and desserts.
Tickets for the event are $50. Space is limited so please order your tickets today. Venue Location and Transportation: Bread and Wine is located near Independence Park at the intersection of Irving Park Rd. and Ridgeway. There is a small parking lot in front with street parking also available nearby.
Public Transportation: Take the Blue Line or Metra (Union Pacific-Northwest line) to the Irving Park stop. Walk about 6 blocks east or transfer to the CTA Bus #80 heading east. Exit at the Ridgeway stop. Bread and Wine is on the north side of the street.
Thank you to our sponsors Albany Bank and Trust, Albany Park Chamber of Commerce, Northeastern Illinois University, Metroplex, Inc., Lisc Chicago, Prairie Vodka, Finch's Beer Company and others.
Event proceeds benefit North River Commission and the programs we support. Thank you for celebrating with us.
