Bilbo Baggins is a Hobbit who lives in a Hobbit hole all by himself and never bothers anyone-- until a wizard named Gandalf knocks on his door. While Bilbo is the last Hobbit anyone would imagine defeating a horrible dragon, he decides to trade his comfy Hobbit home for a true adventure. With the help of thirteen dwarves, a magic ring and some true courage, Bilbo heads off to Lonely Mountain. Join Bilbo as he visits eerie caves, far-off forests, trolls, slimy creatures, and more!

The Hobbit features a talented cast of 19 actors ages 8-16 creating theatre for kids, by kids. This legendary tale of adventure is best for ages 4 and up. The Hobbit is written by J.R.R. Tolkien and adapted for the stage by Patricia Gray.

The Hobbit is presented by special arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Woodstock, Illinois.

$10 (Museum & Theatre members receive $1 off per ticket), $16 to stay and play in the exhibits before or after the show. The Museum & Theatre's regular hours are 10am-5pm.
