A Mosaic of Joy
Welcome the holidays with a musical mosaic of carols from the home countries of Central Minnesota's earliest immigrants. Stunning new arrangements of traditional music from Austria, Bohemia, Germany, Sweden and Ukraine, plus a new carol by Norwegian composer Kim André Arnesen are a perfect start to your holiday season. Great River Chorale is joined by the Cantabile Girls' Concert Choir, the St. Cloud String Quartet, organist Charles Echols and narrator Paul-Vincent Niebauer, OSB for this annual seasonal treat.
Great River Chorale is an auditioned choir based in St. Cloud, Minnesota, that draws its members from many professions and communities across Central Minnesota. Members range in age from 22 to 75 years and share a passion for singing and performing choral music at the highest artistic level. Under the leadership of artistic managing director Dr. Mary Kay Geston, the ensemble has been named the principal choral partner of the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra, was twice selected for Classical Minnesota Public Radios "Taste of the Holidays" CD, and is frequently featured on Classical MPR's Regional Spotlight.
