Greg Harrold Benefit Concert
Dear Friends,
You are invited to an exciting and unusual concert of old and new music, which will take place on August 19th at Contrapuntal Performance Hall in Brentwood.
This concert features the world premieres of several chamber music pieces by Greg Harrold. Most people know Greg as an organbuilder, however he has been composing for over 40 years. This is an opportunity to hear his music in its first public performance. Also on the program will be two splendid Baroque concertos and an exciting piece on Greg's Opus 14, the pipe organ that adorns Contrapuntal Hall. The performers are all renowned for their exemplary interpretations of early music and will be playing on period instruments, either original or patterned after instruments of the Baroque era.
This program will be a benefit to help Greg, who has not been able to work for several years due to illness. The recent illness and passing of his beloved pets, compounded with his own inability to work, have placed him in considerable debt. This concert will serve as an opportunity to soften his financial burdens and allow others to celebrate the work of this extraordinary artist.
Seating is limited so RSVPs are essential. Tickets are available on a sliding scale through Brown Paper Tickets (processing fees will apply).
