Buoso Donati, a wealthy and stalwart aristocrat, has died. His ridiculously greedyfamily is far moreexcitedabout his fortune than they aresaddened by his death. They begin a mad dash to search for his will before the local authorities arrive, fearing he has bequeathed his fortune to a monastery.Realizing they will do anything to seize the fortune,Rinucciosuggests asking Gianni Schicchi for advice. Gianni Schicchi, a notorious trickster, arrives and proves to be a man of many ideas!

This season's special guest artist is award-winning teen Soprano Golda Berkman, 17, who will make her professional opera debut portraying the role ofLauretta, the beautiful ingenue.At 15, she was the one of the youngest grand prize finalists in classical voice in the Music Centers prestigious Spotlight Award competition. She has achieved several remarkable accomplishments for her age, with Carnegie Hall and Walt Disney Concert Hall debuts already under her belt.
