JAZZ IT UP @ TONY'S CAFE with GRUPO YURI JAZZ in Concert
Come enjoy life with acclaimed jazz music artists in concert at the popular monthly Jazz It Up @ Tony's Cafe Concert & Dinner Experience in Cranford, NJ. The experience includes a choice of a delicious Music Menu Italian cuisine entree, dessert and a beverage. BYO is welcome. The concert series continues on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 7pm with Yuri Turchyn and the Latin, Jazz & World Music Fusion sounds of Grupo Yuri Jazz in concert that promises to captivate the audience.
The Grupo Yuri Jazz passionate and superbly energetic original music has consistently been received with enthusiasm by concert patrons. This unique ensemble brings to you a sound that has been captivating audiences through out the tri-state area. After several hit jazz venue dates through out north and central New Jersey; including appearances at the South Orange Performing Arts Center, NJPAC, Trumpets Jazz Club in Montclair, the Red Bank Jazz & Blues Festival, the Shanghai Jazz Club in Madison, Sweet Sounds Downtown in Westfield, several concert stage appearances with TEATRO Sí and other events, the Grupo Yuri Jazz in concert experience brings to the Cranford area a unique and stimulating evening for music lovers at the Jazz It Up @ Tony's Café concert & dining experience.
Acclaimed founder and jazz violinist Yuri Turchyn composes and arranges original music while having a highly visible career as a featured premier performer. Recent performances with Pat Guadagno and Tired Horses for Bobfest (a Bob Dylan birthday tribute concert) and CD Release events for New Jersey Material at McLoone's Supper Club in Asbury Park, New Jersey and the Bitter End in New York City as well as the summer Jazz and Blues Festival in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, brings his elegant style of playing to the live music-loving crowds. Yuri is joined in concert by Grupo Yuri Jazz members including; bassist Jim Grant, Al Selert on drums, acclaimed guitarist Tim Boyce and percussionist Stacy Grant.
