Heyday Farm is a family-run 25-acre sustainable and historic farm on Bainbridge Island. In addition to championing and growing local food, their focus is on building community and educating. By respecting the environment and its limits, they grow food of the highest integrity, taste and quality. Their name comes from their commitment to increase our collective nourishment just as farms did back in their heydays. Learn more about Heydey Farm and how they got started here: http://heydayfarm.com/about/
Hosted by WA FarmLink/Cascade Harvest Coalition, the Kitsap Conservation District, and Heydey Farm. Funded by a grant from the USDA Beginning Farmer Rancher Development Program.
Please wear appropriate footwear for touring the farm and outerwear for weather. We'll be outside. Kids welcome, but please leave pets at home. We'll have coffee and a light bite, but for local lunch options after the event, we suggest visiting the Bainbridge Farmers Market: http://www.bainbridgefarmersmarket.com/ Saturday 9am - 2pm.
