Just Visiting: The Huntington Art Collections in Conversation
November 14, 21, & 28 (Mondays) 10 a.m.- Noon
What happens when unprecedented loans are interposed in a near-century old art collection? Two exhibitions and a special installation feature significant loans rarely seen out of their original contexts and in dialogue with the Huntingtons permanent collection. Join art historian Lilit Sadoyan in this three-part course to explore the exhibitions Van Gogh & Friends and Blast! Modernist Painting in Britain, 1900-1940, as well as the unique installation of John Singer Sargents Dr. Pozzi at Home and their relationship to the Huntingtons paintings, old and new.
