Small Business Lunch at Halls
Small Business Lunch at Halls is pleased to present our Thursday, August 16 distinguished speaker, Chief of Police of the Charleston Police Department, Gregory C. Mullen.
Chief Mullen has served as Chief since 2006 and commands a force of 412 sworn police officers and 137 civilians. Under his leadership, Charleston crime statistics report an overall downward trend with violent crime and property crime decreasing. Based on this trend, the crime rate in Charleston for 2012 is expected to be lower than in 2009 when Charleston was lower than the violent crime rate in South Carolina by 21.97% and the city property crime rate in Charleston was lower than the property crime rate in South Carolina by 9.47%.
Mullen oversees every aspect of public safety in Charleston including traffic control for the Cooper River Bridge Run, establishing Valet Parking in downtown Charleston, and controlling skateboards on our streets.
Each month, Small Business Lunch at Halls features a distinguished speaker from the business, civic or political arenas upstairs at Halls Chophouse with imaginative mid-day cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Matthew Niessner.
Tickets are $28 per person for the luncheon and parking. Doors open at 11:30 AM. Limited seating of 60 participants provides an intimate experience with each speaker.
Halls Chophouse is located at 434 King Street in downtown Charleston. Parking, validated at the event, is available at the Visitors Center Garage on Ann Street between King and Meeting Streets.
